Eucharists
Our Eucharist is the liturgical act with which the Paschal Mystery of Our Lord Jesus Christ is celebrated and actualized.
This is the sacrament of the sacrifice of the Body and Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ, instituted by Him to perpetuate in the times to come, until His second coming, the sacrifice of the Cross.
When the time came, Jesus and the apostles sat at the table. He said to them: –How much I wanted to celebrate with you this Passover supper before my death! Because I tell you that I will not celebrate it again until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God. Then he took a cup in his hands, and having thanked God said: –Take this and distribute it among you; because I tell you that I will not drink the fruit of the vine again
until the kingdom of God comes. Then he took the bread in his hands, and having thanked God, he broke it and gave it to them, saying: –This is my body, given to death for you. Do this in remembrance of me. He did the same with the cup after the
supper, saying: –This cup is the new covenant confirmed with my blood, which is shed for you. Luke 22: 14-20
